God gave us four beautiful seasons, each with their own distinct characteristics. We all shiver when it is cold, but I must say, for me it is one of the most beautiful seasons. I don't like to get out in the snow much anymore, but I do like to sit by the window and look at its beauty. And then, the icicles...aren't they spectacular? Different sizes and shapes all hanging from the house, trees, and shrubs.

In my area, we really had a big snow in 2010. We couldn't get out, and some of our neighbors were kind enough to shovel and plow our driveway and sidewalk. God is good.

Did you ever wonder why each season is so totally different from the others? I think God wants us to appreciate each one for its very own qualities. In the winter, we think it's too cold and can't wait for spring. In the spring we get rain and can't wait for the good ole' summer time. But then it is soooooooo hot. So please bring on the autumn, and a little cooling down. We have the beauty of the autumn colors in all the leaves. And then we are back to winter.

The seasons go by so fast, so we should take time to enjoy each one just as God designed them. God's Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

Only God could have planned such and beautiful array of seasons. Thanks be to God.
