Where Will You Spend Eternity?

Perhaps you have never been asked this question before. Contrary to what you may have heard, God's Word says everyone will spend eternity in one of two places, Heaven or Hell. Life on this earth is fragile and we never know when we may draw our last breath.

We are not Christians because our parents are Christians or because we were baptized and grew up in the church. By the same token, doing good deeds does not guarantee us eternal life. Each of us is accountable to God and must accept Jesus for ourselves.

God designed the plan of salvation to be simple, so even a child could comprehend. The message here is very straightforward. I would invite you to read the following statements to see what God's Word has to say about your eternal destiny.

All Have Sinned

There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.

~Ecclesiastes 7:20~

As it is written: there is no one righteous, not even one.

~Romans 3:10~

The Penalty for Sin

For the wages of sin is death.

~Romans 6:23~

"

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power

  ~1 Thessalonians 1:8-9~

Jesus Paid the Penalty for our Sins

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

~Romans 5:8~

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.

~1 Peter 3:18~

Salvation - Our free gift from God

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

-Ephesians 2:8-9~

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

-Titus 3:5~

What Must I do to be Saved?

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

~John 5:24~

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

~Romans 10:13~

Receive Salvation Now!

If you would like to become a Christian, you can do that right now through prayer. You may use the following prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died on the cross and that His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I confess all my sins and will forsake them. Please come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as the Lord and Savior of my life. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life. Amen.

If you prayed the above prayer and meant it from your heart, you have just received God's free gift!

If you asked Jesus to come into your heart, I would love to hear from you. Please sign my Believers Guest Book (only first name needed) to let me know of your decision so that I may pray for you and rejoice with you.

Now that you are a child of God, I would encourage you to pray, start reading God's Word (the book of John is a good place to start), and attend a Bible believing church so you can grow as a Christian. God has a plan for your life, and He will direct your steps.

May God richly bless you in your walk with Him!
