How much time do we spend talking to God? God loves us so much, and he wants us to communicate with him every day, tell him everything! He's our best friend. The Bible has much to say about prayer.

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ~1 Thessalonians 5:18

Praise God in prayer. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. ~Psalm 100:1~

Confess our sins: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." ~1 John 1:9~

Ask for deliverance: The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. ~Psalm 37:40~

Seek God's will: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance for God's will. ~Romans 8:26-27~

Sorrow: My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. ~Psalm 119:28~

Seek God's comfort: Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!  For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. ~Isaiah 49:13~

Be faithful in prayer: For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. ~Psalm 37:28~

Show reverence to God: Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. ~2 Corinthians 7:1~

These are just a few circumstances which lead us to prayer.  However, I would think that each of us have many from our own personal experience.

You will love this...use Scripture when praying for our beloved country, The United States of America.

We need prayers right now! In 2nd Chronicles 7:14, God's Word says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
