Kids at Heart
We are all kids at heart. There is definitely a little kid deep down inside of me who still loves stuffed animals and believes in the Easter bunny, especially the chocolate bunny. There is still a little girl that believes in Santa and eagerly waits for his gifts.
This little girl still remembers her sweet mother--her piano playing, her delicious food, her chasing me with a swatter when I was bad, and most of all her love. And yes, I was certainly my "daddy's girl." I miss all the fun times we had together, playing checkers, cards, bouncy ball (our own version of table tennis), and tag, even when he was in his 80s.
The little girl in me still has memories of jumping rope, playing hopscotch, catching lightening bugs in a jar, roller skating, hide-and-seek, tag, dancing, and the most fun of all, hanging out with my friends. Yes, this all takes me back to yesteryear. Isn't a little day-dreaming just wonderful!
