Patricia's Traditional Holiday Pages

Can't wait until your favorite holiday? Life speeds along at a very fast pace. Shopping stores inundate us at every turn for the latest holiday gifts and cards. We are so vulnerable, like sitting targets waiting for the kill. It seems so easy to get caught up in all of it--so easy to have want-itis.

As Christians we should be looking forward to Heaven and that forever time with our Lord. No one knows the hour that Jesus will return. In 1 Corinthians 15:51, God's word says, "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."

Recently I read a book about a three year old boy named Colton who was very ill, and the doctors thought he would not live. Colton actually spent some time in Heaven with God. In this book Colton's father documents exactly what Colton saw and heard. What an amazing story. Young children tend to speak straightforwardly. There hearts have not been tainted with a lot of deception. Mark 10:15 tells us, "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

If you would be interested in reading this book, it is entitled "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo and is a #1 New York Times bestseller.

Let us try to view our holidays as a gift from God (which they are) and glorify him on all occasions. If you really can't wait for your favorite holiday page, please feel free to jump ahead and take a sneak-peek from the links below. Please come back again for more holiday visits.
